It's not enough that there's this stupid splash screen, but when running emacs with a filename under X in FC9, it always causes the window to be split in half with the file you're editing on the top, and the splash screen on the bottom. So you have to unsplit the window every time to get rid of it. Who the fsck thought that would be a smart feature to add?! Glad I found this.
